There is always a challenge of balance when you want to start something new. We often wonder how we are going to balance our new goal, the previous goal we had and the future ones coming.
Despite all these excuses, we have to find a balance. It is your ability to evenly distribute your time and attention. Find your balance, keep it, weight loss is a gradual process. The body system is a complex one and everything in the human body has a process. You need to want to lose weight to really lose weight. I started progressing in my weight loss journey the moment I made up my mind that I wanted it. I stayed true to myself and to the environment I found myself in. I cannot say I am an adult and eat like a child. I cannot say I want to exercise and burn these calories, and do nothing. You need to be focused, undaunted, disciplined, unstoppable, and be comfortable in your own skin.
Everyday is an opportunity to start afresh. It’s a new day, every new day is a new beginning.
Appreciate your body, you only have one. Love your body, think positively and be kind to yourself.
Be accountable, accountability is important in a weight loss journey because it helps you stay on track. You can start by taking a note of what you eat and drink, so you can be aware of what you are consuming. This is a check of progress.
Physical activity, in as much as food accountability is important. Physical activity is necessary too. Food accountability and physical activity go hand in hand because you need to burn more calories than you consume. Physical activities help you burn calories and stay fit.
This is a journey, enjoy every bit of it. Finding your balance in your weight loss journey means you combine all the nutrients the human body needs to give your body the best. These nutrients include proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, fats, fibre and minerals , when taken in the right proportion; make you feel healthier, stronger, energetic and sound.
Finding your balance involves being consistent, disciplined, patient, focused and persistent. These are not the enemies of weight loss but can help you achieve your deserved results.
